There is a rockwall in Rexburg. Troy, Peggy and Daeson went for a climb while Tevan and I were in Preston at the bridal shower.

Rigby Lake

While on a cruise, Adam was certified to scuba dive. So, we went to the lake and he taught Troy what to do.





The water was a pretty nice temp, they never put on the wetsuits.
The third person in the pic is our cousin, Jayden. She came with Adam and Kayla.










And, there they go. They never made it too deep, but they were there a good hour-hour and a half.

We had a GREAT time! Thanks Adam and Kayla! Thanks for the yummy chicken, too! We will definately have to do it again! How nice is it that we can live so close to a fun activity!!!

Cress Creek

We had a little picnic at the shady table. The kids ate okay, but the kids were more interested in the water!

My neighbor and BFF, Barbara, and I took our kids to Cress Creek for the day. Her sis Annette met us up there. It was blast and the kids did great! After the hike, we drove to a small camp site and roasted hotdogs and marshmallows. Annette let the kids splash buckets of water on the fires to put them out. The kids loved it!!! Thanks, Barbara and Annette for a great day!!!!

What a cute face!!!!! The kids loved palying in the creek. It was cool and refreshing. There were some very nice people there who played and cahetted witht the kids.

Jaxon Ty Smith

Congratulations to my brother Justin and his wife Hailey...they welcomed a baby boy to their home on my anniversary: July 20. He is the sweetest thing I have ever seen...well, maybe a close tie. However, he is adorable and I just love him to pieces! He was a week and a day over due. He weighed 7 lb 4 oz and was 21 in long. What a doll. We went to see him on July 23, 2009. Here are some pics of Daeson with the newest member of our family:

I love to decorate cakes. I am not the greatest, but I like to do it so it is never a chore! My neighbor asked me to make her daughter a cake for her 5th birthday. Lindy came over and picked out the colors and told me how she wanted it decorated the day I made it. She was so excited!!! The picture's color is off. it was dark purple and a lighter purple with black in the middle.

We had a good time visiting, but I was definitely ready to go home. Tevan kept disappearing and running off. I got tired of chasing him around. Troy went on a couple of hikes, so I was stuck back in camp. I am not a fan of camping with two-year olds!

9 Years

Troy and I celebrated our 9th anniversary on the 20th. It was nice and I am a lucky girl to have a great husband. We took our kids to the Gallups who agreed to take them overnight for us. THANK YOU!!!! The kids had a great time with them and just loved spending the night. We went to WhiteWater Grill (japanese style/fusion style). It was good. I had noodle stir-fry and Troy had the duck. It was very good. We met a very nice man there and chatted with him for a very long time. Although it didn't seem too long, we counted about 2.5 hours. He is Chuck from Ft. Collins and has 2 kids and a great wife from the sounds of it. We stayed at the Marriott...it was a great room. That morning, we ran Troy's route and picked the kids up. We then headed to a family reunion. It was a very busy two days, but it was fun. I cannot believe it has been 9 years already. We have lived in our house for 6 years and we are so happy here. We have definatley grown together. But, in honor of our 9 yr celebration, I would like to name 9 things I love about Troy.
1. He is a great provider for our family. It is not easy to be a stay-at-home mom with this economy, but he would never let that change...even if I wanted it to.
2. He is level headed. Sometimes I get big ideas and he has to talk me down from actually doing it. We are a great balance like that.
3. He is hardly mad at me. If I do something ( mostly spend a lot of money) he gets over it quickly.
4. He bathes the kids most nights. I don't love to bath me kids, so he does it. The only nights I don't is when he is not home.
5. He lets me got to my parent's house without grumbling. Because they live so far away, he lets me stay for extended periods of time with out complaint. And the house is clean when I get home!
6. He will let me pick the movie. I love chick flicks...although H S Musical 3 was not my fave, he sat through is with me. We do, however, enjoy the Office together.
7. He is a great daddy. He loves our kids with all his might. And I love that about him. No one will ever be able to call him a dead beat dad, it is just not in him to be like that.
8. He brushes my hair or rubs my head every night. I love that. If I could get a scalp massage everyday I would. He is so good about putting me to sleep like that.
9. He is supportive in my decisions. Troy may not be the most religious guy in the world, and I have finally accepted that, but he has NEVER stood in the way of the kids and I going to church. He even drove the girls' stuff to camp this year and picked us up. He is very supportive of my callings and my religious endeavors. That means so much to me.

I could go on and on, it may seem like I have already, but I love Troy more and more every day. He is a wonderful person who would do anything for anyone. He works hard for our family and takes care of our home needs as well. Nine years will eventually be 19 years and then 29. I I hope we have a long life together. He has taught me more than any person ever could. I love you, Babe!! Happy anniversary!

Girlie Camp

I had a BLAST at girl's camp this year...after all the hard work and preparation, it came and went. My mom came up Monday to stay with the kids. THANK YOU MOMMMMM!!! Tuesday morning we packed up and got on our way to Scout Mountain. When we got there, I was a bit sad to see the camp spot that I had reserved...I think EVERYONE was sad to see it. There was not enough space at all for five tents. If yo take a crowd...DO NOT GET #18. So, after camp was all set up and dinner was being prepared, we as leaders decided to make an executive decision and move camp sites. This was not something the girls were excited to do, bue they did it and we were all very glad we did. So, about 8 we made dinner and had smores after that. I gave devotional that night on being all that you can be using Pres. Hinckley's Way to Be book. It turned out nicely. Oh, I would like to thank my Aunt Dee for bringing us wood. I must say that is the only thing I forgot...so I think I did okay. Besides, who would have thought you had to take wood to a forrest!!!!

Wednesday we certified, completed 32 hygeine kits for the distribution center, worked on skits and our scrapbooks. I wasn't sure how the books would be taken, but they all embraced the idea and made some super cute pages. We had a lot of free time and the girls like that, too. Bishop john gave the devotional on choosing to have a testimony. It was great. He related a story of two girls who lived in the same neighborhood, who were the same age, who attended the same meetings and had parents who were active members. One grew up and got married in the temple. She is very active and has a strong love for hte Lord. The other one has no direction in her life and has strayed off the straight and narrow path. What was the difference? One chose to have a testimony and to let Heavenly Father be a part of her life...the other one did not. I really loved that devotional.

Thursday was hike day. Bishop John made Mickey Mouse pancakes for all of us. We got ready to hike with our Priesthood leaders Brother Chugg and Brother Havens. Kathy Schell came,too. The requirement was 5 miles, but Bro Chugg felt he needed to take us on a 16 mile hike. The girls were great sports and only murmured a little. It wasn't that bed...HAHAHA! Abby sprained her ankle, but made it down the mountain. We all cleaned up and got ready for testimony night. Kathy gave the devotional on having the right tools for a testimony. It was great! The testimonies born that night were incredible. Every girl bore her testimony...some of thankfulness and some of trials, some of family and some of the gospel. Before they bore their testimony, they turned on a little tealight candle thing and we got to see the light shine on their faces. It was so beautiful to see this group of 10 girls form together and unite. It was an amazing experience and I will not ever forget it. I have grown to love each of those girls individually. I learned so much from each one.

Friday we ate omlets and took down camp. On the way home we stopped at Tastee Treet and had icecream. I picked up a scotch and soda and space burger for Mom. We were excited to get home, and I am still unloading things...the coolers are done, but the rest will have to wait. I forgot to mention our cam friends...two little skunks. They were cute, and suprisingly enough not stinky. Too bad I didn't get a picture of fear they would spray. Speaking of pictures...here you go!

I got choked up...the girls awarded me the Real Numero Uno award. I had no idea what I was getting into when I was called, but the Lord provided and I was able to get it all done. Thanks you to all of those who helped!!! There is no way I could have done this without you! Troy: Thanks for taking the kids all those nights! Thanks for driving us up and back! Mom: Thanks for taking my kids! It is a lot and I really appreciate it! Dad: Thanks for letting me have mom! All the past and present YW leaders who have helped! I love you all!!!!!

Tevan Ty's bday

This is the day before I had Tevan. My family came for a visit. These are my brothers...no, none of them are expecting! :)

This is Tevan the day he was born. The nurse was NOT very nice and I wanted to slap her, but I restrained. Tevan remained un-named for a few days until we could agree on something. But he was very sweet!

We had a great time at the party. Peggy brought some delicious watermelon! YUMYUM!

This is the Diego cake I made. It took about 5 hours. I used the Wilton pan, but I was so mad that I was required to make 1/4 c yellow frosting and used maybe 1/2 tsp. It was like that with a lot of the colors. Very frustrating...but it made the cake look cute.

While we sang to Daeson, he grinned from ear to ear. It was the funniest thing. What a ham.

He blew out all but one candle at first, but he got it eventually.

He wouldn't eat a lot of cake, but I sure dished it up! He got the whole Diego face.

We had him sit in a circle with his presents around him. He had a hard time opening presents. He wanted to play with each one individually. He loved all of them...

But the gift that won his heart was the Handy Manny tool box that sings. We had to open that right up. He even slept with the tools the first night and the whole toolbox the second night!!

Troy's aunt Linda and Uncle Dick came and told me this was Tevie's present...I was hoping they were kidding, but told them no thanks anyway. Daeson was devastated. "Why can't we take the puppy home?" Let's just say that if I add one more thing to my list, I will SCREAM!!!!! And a dog is a big item to add!
